Notice & Action
This page explains how to notify us of illegal content or behaviour on CruiseCtrl, how we act on those notices, and your right to an explanation and an appeal. It reflects our obligations under Articles 16–18 of the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). It works alongside our Community Guidelines, which set out what is and isn't allowed.
How to report
The fastest way is in the app: open the profile, chat or content → menu → Report (you can also Block). You can also email safety@cruisectrl.eu. To help us act quickly, please include: what the content is and where, the account involved, why you believe it is illegal or breaks our rules, and your contact details if you'd like an update. Notices submitted in good faith with enough detail are treated as giving us "actual knowledge".
What we do with a report
We review reports promptly — typically within around 24 hours — in a non-arbitrary, objective way. Depending on severity we may warn the user, remove content, limit visibility, suspend, or ban; clearly illegal content and content that threatens safety is actioned immediately. Child sexual abuse material and credible threats to life are reported to the appropriate authorities (see our Community Guidelines and Law-Enforcement page).
Statement of reasons
If we remove or restrict your content or your account, we will tell you what we did and why — including the rule or legal basis relied on, whether automated tools were involved, and how to appeal — unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
Appeals
If you believe we got a decision wrong, you can appeal within the app or by emailing safety@cruisectrl.eu. Appeals are reviewed by someone who was not involved in the original decision, and we will not rely on automated means alone. You may also pursue out-of-court dispute settlement or a judicial remedy, and you can complain to Coimisiún na Meán (Ireland's online-safety regulator, cnam.ie).
Misuse
Repeatedly submitting manifestly unfounded reports, or repeatedly posting clearly illegal content, may lead to temporary suspension of reporting or of the account, after a warning.
Our point of contact
Our single point of contact under Articles 11–12 DSA, for users and authorities, is legal@cruisectrl.eu (communications in English).
