You are who you say you are. Whatever your journey looks like, you deserve respect, safety and support. The organisations on this page are led by and for trans people and their allies.

Community & family support

You don't have to figure things out alone. Trans-led organisations offer peer support, social groups and family support — for you, and for the parents, partners and friends who want to get it right. Connecting with others who've been there can make a real difference, whether you're newly questioning or years into your journey.

In Ireland, the Gender Recognition Act 2015 lets people aged 18 and over legally change their gender on the basis of self-determination — you don't need medical sign-off to update your gender on official documents. Trans healthcare pathways exist through the public system but can involve long waits; trans-led organisations can help you understand your options and advocate for yourself. For the wider picture of your rights, see your legal rights (EU).

Dating & connecting safely

You get to decide how, when and whether you share that you're trans — there's no obligation to disclose, and your privacy is yours. At the same time, you deserve to be treated with respect by anyone you connect with. Transphobic abuse, "chaser" harassment or fetishising have no place here: you can block and report anyone on CruiseCtrl, and our Community Guidelines apply to everyone. If you ever face hostility, see hate crime & discrimination.

Across the EU

Trans rights and healthcare vary widely between European countries. Transgender Europe (TGEU) and ILGA-Europe track the picture across the continent and can point you to organisations wherever you are.
