Terms of Service

LAST UPDATED: 13 JUNE 2026 · VERSION 2.0

1. Who we are & these Terms

CruiseCtrl is operated by Relay Labs Limited (trading as "CruiseCtrl", "we", "us"), a company registered in Ireland (company no. 807438), registered office 35 Lower Sherrard Street, Dublin 1, Ireland. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and us for your use of the CruiseCtrl apps and website. By creating an account or using the service you accept these Terms, our Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use CruiseCtrl. Contact: support@cruisectrl.eu.

2. Eligibility — you must be 18+

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract to use CruiseCtrl. By using the service you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements, and you complete an age check at sign-up. We may suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe belong to minors, and we remove and report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity on your account. One person, one account. Do not impersonate others or create accounts for anyone else. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account), which erases your associated personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to follow our Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms. In short, you will not: harass, threaten, "out" or abuse others; post illegal, non-consensual or sexually exploitative content; share any content involving minors (which we remove and report to authorities); solicit money or engage in commercial sexual services; spam, scam, phish or catfish; or scrape, reverse-engineer or disrupt the service. Content that breaches the Guidelines may be removed and your account actioned (see §9–§10).

5. Your content & licence

You retain ownership of the content you post. You grant CruiseCtrl a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store and display your content solely to operate and provide the service. You are responsible for the content you share and confirm you have the right to share it. We own the CruiseCtrl name, branding and software; we grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.

6. Safety & meeting people

CruiseCtrl helps adults meet, but we do not conduct criminal background checks and we cannot guarantee the identity, conduct or intentions of any user. You are solely responsible for your interactions, online and offline. Use Safe Meet, meet in public, tell someone where you're going, and read our Safety Guide. See the disclaimers in §11.

7. Subscriptions & payments

Core features are free. CruiseCtrl + is an auto-renewing subscription. When you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, billing, renewals and refunds are handled by that store under its terms — we cannot take those payments or issue those refunds directly. CruiseCtrl + is currently €12 for your first year (about €1/month), and then renews automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel in your store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Current prices and what's included are shown at the point of purchase.

8. Your right to cancel (EU/UK consumers)

As a consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because CruiseCtrl + is digital content/services supplied immediately, when you subscribe you are asked to expressly consent to immediate access and to acknowledge that you therefore lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once the service begins; we confirm this to you. Where a purchase was billed by Apple or Google, refunds are requested through that store. Nothing here removes any statutory refund or cancellation right you have under the law of your country of residence.

9. Content moderation & your rights (Digital Services Act)

We moderate content and accounts using a mix of automated tools and human review, applied diligently, objectively and proportionately, with regard to your fundamental rights. Anyone can report illegal content or rule-breaking using the in-app Report tools or safety@cruisectrl.eu; we confirm receipt and tell you the outcome. If we remove your content or restrict your account, we give you a statement of reasons and the chance to appeal to a reviewer who was not involved in the original decision. Our point of contact for users and authorities under the Digital Services Act is legal@cruisectrl.eu; Ireland's Digital Services Coordinator is Coimisiún na Meán.

10. Suspension & termination

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or our Guidelines, or where necessary to protect users or comply with the law, giving a statement of reasons and a right of appeal except where the law prevents it (for example, ongoing illegal activity). You may stop using and delete your account at any time.

11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for the conduct of any user (online or offline) or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your mandatory rights as a consumer. These Terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own country; we will only bring proceedings against you in the courts of your country of residence. Before going to court, please contact support@cruisectrl.eu so we can try to resolve things. If we can't, EU consumers can use a notified Alternative Dispute Resolution body (in Ireland the CCPC maintains the list), and the European Consumer Centre (ECC) Ireland can help with cross-border disputes. (The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025 and no longer applies.)

13. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms; we will notify you of significant changes before they take effect, and for ongoing subscriptions you may cancel if you do not accept them. Questions: support@cruisectrl.eu.
