Your profile is what people see when they open your card on Discover. This guide covers editing it — from photos and your voice intro to health details — plus account security, data export and account deletion.

1. Editing your profile

Open the You tab and tap Edit profile. The You tab also shows how complete your profile essentials are, with a hint for what to add next.

Edit profile has seven tabs:

  1. Photos — your public photos
  2. Basics — display name, age, pronouns, gender, height, headline and bio
  3. Voice — record or replace your voice intro
  4. Stats — optional body stats, and which of them appear on your profile
  5. Cruising — accommodation, looking for, into, kinks and interaction style
  6. Health — practices, safeguards, HIV status and testing dates
  7. Verify — your verification status, or start the selfie check

Tap Save to store your changes. If you try to leave with unsaved edits, the app asks whether to discard them. Photos and text are reviewed before they appear to others.

2. Photos

You can have up to six public photos:

Tap a photo for options: Take a photo (camera access is asked for at this step), Choose from library, Set as main photo, or Remove photo. New or removed photos take effect when you save.

Photos that break the rules are removed, and repeated violations can lead to account action. We don't share your photos with third parties except as described in the Privacy Policy and the sub-processors list.

3. Private media

Private media (You → Private media) is a library separate from your public profile. Items you make private never appear on your profile; you share them one conversation at a time from a chat's attachment sheet. The other person gets 24 hours, can ask to keep access, and you decide. Each private item lists everyone you've approved, and you can remove access. You can also group items into public or private albums.

Deleting an item removes it from your library and every album, and anyone who kept access loses it. See Chats for sharing and screenshot protection.

4. Basics

5. Stats

Optional fields: height, weight, endowment, body type, gender, sexuality and position. Under Show on profile you pick which stats appear under your headline — turn them all off to hide the line completely. Sexuality is hidden by default; turn it on only if you want it public. Hidden stats are never shown to other members.

6. Voice intro

A voice intro is a short recording that plays on your profile. It's optional, and a good way to show some personality before the first message.

  1. Go to Edit profile → Voice.
  2. Record your intro. It uploads as soon as you stop recording.
  3. Record again to replace it, or remove it from the same tab.

Anyone who can see your profile can play your voice intro. Keep it within the Community Guidelines.

7. Cruising

Share what kind of connection you're looking for so people can tell quickly whether you're a match. All fields are optional:

Each section has a Show on profile switch. It's saved for matching either way; turn it off to hide the section from visitors.

8. Health

The Health tab supports informed, consensual connections: practices, safeguards, HIV status, and the dates you were last HIV tested and STI tested.

Health details are sensitive. They're shown only where you choose, using the same Show on profile switch, and are never used outside your profile. CruiseCtrl doesn't check health information — it's self-reported. Health data is special-category data under GDPR and is processed only with your explicit consent, which you give by saving it and can withdraw by removing it. See the Privacy Policy and our sexual health resources.

9. Verification

Verification shows other members there's a real adult behind the profile.

  1. Go to You → Verification (or Edit profile → Verify).
  2. Review what is checked, what isn't, and how long the photo is kept.
  3. Take a live selfie in good light — camera permission is requested at this step only.
  4. You're verified, asked to try again, or your selfie goes to a short human review (usually within a day).

The selfie is checked for an 18+ age estimate by our provider, used only for this check, never shown on your profile, and deleted once the decision is made. Once verified, the ✓ badge appears on your profile and card, and you can check in, use Safe Meet, the verified-only filter and — with CruiseCtrl+ — Travel Mode. A badge doesn't verify anyone's intentions. See Age Assurance.

10. Visibility

Your profile only appears on Discover while you're checked in. People you already chat with can still open it. To look around without appearing at all, turn on Browse privately (You → Your visibility). See Discover & check-in.

11. Email, password and sign-in

Go to You → Settings → Account:

Forgot your password? Tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and we'll email a reset link, valid for one hour. If you signed up with a phone number, sign in with a code sent to that number. If you no longer have access to your email or phone, contact support@cruisectrl.eu.

12. Exporting your data

Under GDPR you can get a copy of your personal data in a portable, machine-readable format.

  1. Go to You → Settings → Privacy & data (or Settings → Account).
  2. Tap Export my data (Download my data in Account). The app prepares a JSON file of your profile, settings and activity and downloads it.

Sign-in secrets and your verification selfie are never included. You can also make a subject access request by emailing privacy@cruisectrl.eu; we respond within one month (extendable by up to two months for complex requests, and we'll tell you if so). There's no charge.

13. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time.

  1. Go to You → Settings → Privacy & data → Delete my account (or Settings → Account → Delete account).
  2. Read the confirmation. Deletion can't be undone.
  3. Type your display name to confirm, then tap Delete my account.

What happens:

If you'd rather just disappear for a while, turn on Browse privately or simply don't check in. For a deletion request by email, write to privacy@cruisectrl.eu. You can also contact our Data Protection Officer at dpo@cruisectrl.eu.
